Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program

The 2022 Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program will take place both online and in-person. The online portion of the program will begin in May 2022, and the in-person portion will take place from July 18 to July 29, 2022, on UC Berkeley’s campus.

The online portion of the program will last from May 2022 until July 1. They look forward to providing you with the opportunity to learn from their world-class instructors and participate in longer-term cohort-building without having to leave the comfort of your home for the first months of the program. It will be approximately two hours a week and have both live Zoom sessions as well as asynchronous (pre-recorded) lectures. Asynchronous (pre-recorded) material will continue to be available and can be viewed at your convenience. Any synchronous (live) sessions will be held between 7 am and 9 am Pacific Time Thursdays and/or Fridays. 

After the online portion of the program, you will travel to Berkeley for two full weeks of standard Beahrs ELP sessions. This will include field visits, a welcome reception, a certificate ceremony, and a special symposium celebrating the program’s 20th anniversary. You will be provided with on-campus housing and meals for the duration of the two weeks.

At the end of the program, you will receive a UC Berkeley certificate in Sustainable Environmental Management, as well as lifetime membership in our global Berkeley ELP Alumni Network.
