Building Up - Sustainable Performance in Communities

"Building Up" is a cooperation project between the organisations Jugendakademie Walberberg e.V. (Germany), Achieve More Scotland (UK), Porta Nuova Europe (Italy) and Association Inspiration (Bulgaria). For 16 days participants from each country meet in Germany to build up a volunteering team that carries out activities at GFO Klostergarten Merten and Jugendakademie Walberberg. At Klostergarten the volunteers work together with kids and elderlies in various workshops around the garden. Furthermore, they take part in the accompanying programme on nature protection and sustainability. By their actions they foster intergenerational solidarity and strengthen the idea of european citizenship.
