Climate Change Adaptation Expert

The overarching objective of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group is to spur sustainable economic development and social progress in its regional member countries (RMCs), thus contributing to poverty reduction. This objective is achieved through mobilization and allocation of resources for investment in RMCs and providing policy advice and technical assistance.
The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho has received financing from the African Development Bank and the Global Environment Facility-Least Developed Countries Fund (GEFLCDF) toward the cost of the Lesotho Lowlands Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project (LLRWSSP) implemented through the Ministry of Water, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for the Climate Change Adaptation Expert Services.
The main objective of the assignment is to support the implementation of the Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) component of the LLRWSSP to ensure that all the climate change adaptation measures are mainstreamed during implementation for sustainability of the project. The project is planned for a duration of 48 months and the expert assignment is envisioned to be carried out for a period of fifteen months of the project implementation.
The Ministry of Water now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing those services of the Climate Change Adaptation Expert. Expressions of interest must be hand-delivered or emailed to the address below not later than March 1, 2021 at 1600hrs.
