To support food security and nutrition data analyses around gender and inclusion. The consultant will be based in the WFP Country Office in New Delhi, under the direct supervision of the Gender Officer. She/he will complete the assigned tasks in consultation with the supervisor and may be required to liaise with colleagues in other units and partners in other agencies. She/he may also be required to travel to WFP field offices or project field sites.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification: First level university degree (Graduation) in the area of Food Security / Social Science /Development Economics / Applied Economics / Geography / Demography or related disciplines.
Experience: At least 6 years' of experience in designing and executing field-based research studies and/or programme implementation on gender, food security, nutrition, public health and related issues. Published research work as reports, papers in refereed journals and chapters in books, books to demonstrate analytical and writing skills. Knowledge and hands-on experience in statistical analysis of both primary and secondary data using SPSS/STATA or similar software. Knowledge and experience of data visualization software (Tableau) and mapping (ArcGIS, QGIS and related software) is desirable.
Language: Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
