The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based intergovernmental organization founded to support and promote the model of green and inclusive economic growth. Green growth is about the quality and sustenance of growth, and GGGI’s mandate includes supporting the development of and mainstreaming green growth policies, programs, financing in its member and partner countries.
The selected intern will contribute to the GGGI Strategic Outcomes Project. This is a key Office of the Thought Leadership (TL) project for the development of GGGI’s positioning in contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the UN Agenda 2030 and to action plan/roadmap development for NDCs (Nationally Determined Contributions) under the Paris Agreement.
The intern is expected to perform one or more of the following tasks, but are not limited to:
- Help develop analytical frameworks for analysis of data and information related to country-level target-setting of GGGI Strategic Outcomes and Africa Green Growth Readiness Assessment;
- Research, collect, prepare, and analyze data from diverse sources for Africa Green Growth Readiness Assessment and to prepare country-level targets of GGGI Strategic Outcomes;
- Supporting planning of regional and global workshops and webinars, support for delivering workshops/ conferences related to the GGGI Strategic Outcomes project deliverables.
