Description
This e-learning course provides the necessary knowledge to build a sustainable national greenhouse gas inventory (NGHGI) and to assess emissions from the agriculture sector. The course contains a general overview on: the role and goals of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC); the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) guidelines for NGHGIs; the inventory cycle and the main elements and principles for preparation of GHG inventories (Unit 1).
Some of the lessons of this course will be, among others:
- National Greenhouse Gas Inventory for agriculture, forestry and other land use;
- Livestock-related emissions;
- Soil-related emissions;
- Soil-Related: Rice Cultivation, Liming and Urea Fertilization;
- Fire-related emissions.
