UN Environment’s Asia and the Pacific Office works in 41 countries across the region to promote and implement sustainable development solutions. It works in close partnership with key stakeholders including governments, the private sector, civil society, and other UN agencies.
UN Environment's Asia and the Pacific Office helps to implement all UN Environment's programs and projects in the region by initiating, coordinating and catalyzing regional and sub-regional cooperation and action in response to environmental problems and emergencies.
Tasks of the intern will be, among others:
- Assist with preparation of briefings for senior management, including social, economic, environmental assessment and priorities in the specific countries and region;
- Regular tracking of political developments at the national and sub-regional levels with inputs from colleagues;
- Assist with preparations of the 3rd Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific in 2019.
