Environmental Conservation Intern Opportunity
English
The Rockingham County Conservation District is seeking an intern for Fall 2018. The primary work will be chemical control of invasive species at restoration sites using low impact herbicides. Additional work may include brush cutting, planting, and seeding.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on a number of habitat restoration sites in southeastern New Hampshire and learn about vegetation management in that context. Learning opportunities include plant identification, impacts of invasive species, and wildlife benefits.
Depending on the time commitment, the intern(s) are likely to have the opportunity to observe restoration projects in various stages of recovery, including over 100 acres of active restoration at Odiorne Point State Park.
