The program supports activities that foster the protection and sustainable management of forests in the Foundation’s focal landscapes: Sierra Madre, Palawan, Samar and Leyte, and Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental.The program supports activities that foster the protection and sustainable management of forests outside the focal landscapes.
Proposed projects should contribute to the protection and sustainable management of Philippine forests and its biodiversity. For more details on the eligible activities for funding, please download the Forest Foundation Philippines Program Plan, 2017-2021.
Entities involved in development, education, research, communications, livelihood and forestry are encouraged to apply. This includes:
- Duly-registered individuals, groups and organizations, such as non-governmental, peoples, indigenous peoples, professional, socio-civic and community organizations;
- Other appropriate local or regional entities active in the Philippines;
- Individuals, who are considered as subject experts or professionals; and
- Units or agencies under the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, in exceptional circumstances.
Other entities, like State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), higher educational institutions, corporate foundations or specific industry chambers, are invited to engage in partnerships rather than apply for grants.. Proponents may apply for small (Php 500 thousand), medium (Php 4 million) or large grants (Php 24 million).Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
