Description

The InsuResilience Global Partnership was launched at the UN Climate Change Conference COP23 in Bonn in November 2017 and emerged from the G7 InsuResilience Initiative. The aim is to enable countries to react more quickly after a disaster and to better adapt to climate and disaster risks through the use of risk financing and insurance instruments. This will help poor and vulnerable people to strengthen their resilience over time. The partnership brings together the G20 and V20 countries, civil society, international organisations, the private sector and academia. The GIZ is the secretariat of the InsuResilience Global Partnership and supports the multi-stakeholder partnership in outreach, governance and implementation activities.
