Description
The position is within the framework of the ENPARDII Technical Assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, under the overall operational guidance and responsibility of the FAO Representative and the Assistant FAO Representative in Georgia, direct supervision of the Programme Officer, in close collaboration with the National Project Manager/Team Leader (NPM/TL) and the National Policy Advisor.
Some of the responsibilities for the position will be, among others:
- Work with the high-level management of the MoA and its relevant departments for the purpose of defining and formulating the sustainable climate-smart policy framework, and its key measures and indicators;
- In close collaboration with the Project Management and in conjunction with strategic measures of the Agricultural Development Strategy 2015-2020, advise on suitability, relevance, and feasibility, as well as short- and long-term impact potential of climate-smart agriculture supportive measures;
- Provide advice on effective and efficient awareness raising in climate-smart agriculture issues and guide the efforts of the National Policy Advisor in the implementation of specific activities such as training, workshops, seminars, preparation of materials for dissemination.
