Internship: Forest in Cities

The Urban Development team is seeking a fulltime intern to enhance and expand the urban portfolio of the Cities4Forests initiative. Trees and forests are immensely valuable to cities and their citizens. Yet forests remain under threat. As the Cities4Forests intern, the ideal candidate will work with partners, and city-level officials to identify needs and provide access to relevant sources of technical assistance; programs on how to implement or expand urban tree programs and increase citizen involvement; as well as support on geospatial and benefits tools to assist cities in calculating emissions and sinks, air quality, heat island mitigation, and stormwater management, in an effort to identify pathways to reaching established targets and goals for inner, nearby, and faraway forests.
