Description

Regional Climate Weeks bring together private and public sector representatives to share ideas and make connections in discussions, meetings and exhibitions on diverse themes related to climate action and sustainable development. They are meant to encourage and facilitate the implementation of ambitious Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement and help deliver on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

There are several ways organisations can get involved in and be part of the regional climate weeks:

  1. Side events provide opportunities for organisations to conduct an hour long session on topics aligned with the agenda;

  2. Action Hub provides a platform for Non-Governmental Organisations, Intergovernmental Organisations, Governments, Youth Organisations, as well as Educational Institutions from the region to showcase innovative climate action and ideas in 15-30 minutes on a stage;

  3. Exhibition booths available on a commercial basis provide opportunities for organisations to showcase their work;

  4. Knowledge Corner provides Non-Governmental Organisations, Youth Organisations, as well as Educational Institutions with a shared booth to exhibit their work.

Regional Climate Weeks (RCWs) inspire individuals and organizations to become part of the momentum created by the global climate agreement in Paris.
