Public Lecture on Role of Farmers' Organizations in Agricultural Transformation in Africa

The Center for Development Research (ZEF) is an institute of the University of Bonn, Germany. It started its research activities in 1997. ZEF's researchers aim to find science-based solutions to development-related issues. ZEF’s research departments on Economic and Technological Change, Political and Cultural Change, and Ecology and Natural Resources Management conduct inter- and trans-disciplinary research in, for and with emerging economies and on global issues with its collaborating research partners around the world.
This Pubic Lecture is done by Willi Kampmann,who was the Former Head of the German Farmers' Association based in Brussels. The German Farmers’ Association (DBV) is the free and self-determined advocacy of agriculture and forestry, as well as farming families in Germany. About 90 % of the approximately 300,000 farms in Germany are voluntary members of the Farmers‘ Association. DBV advocacy is diverse - from agricultural and economic policy over ownership, legal and tax policy to environmental policy. In addition, major fields like education and social policy are covered.
