Then join us as Senior Climate Change Adviser and lead a growing, critically important portfolio of work, focussing largely on community adaptation, and with a strong focus on quality evidence generation. Our mission is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.

In this new and exciting role of Senior Climate Change Adviser, you will work in Save the Children UK to develop a clear strategy on climate change for 2022-24, build networks and partnerships to enable this strategy, and ensure the links between child rights and climate change are more widely understood.

You will work with a number of key stakeholders to ensure the development of partnerships, policy positions, and high-quality interventions that support national priorities. You will support country teams through high quality technical assistance, where needed, for the design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of climate change adaptation efforts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the development of a strategy for the continued growth of climate change programming.
  • Lead or provide technical oversight of the development of climate-related project concept notes.
  • Work with COs to ensure that their climate adaption work is based on the best evidence.
  • Support and mentor program staff involved in the design of climate change programs
