The position is located in the ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for Andean Countries (DWT/CO­Lima). DWTs provide high quality, timely and integrated technical support to country offices in the design and implementation of Decent Work Country Programmes (DWCPs) in response to their requests within the framework of outcome-­based work plans. This support includes technical and policy advice, information and analyses. The incumbent will provide support in the execution of  DWCPs in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. 

He/she will be responsible for providing technical advisory services to institutional counterparts and social partners on the measurement, analysis and design of policies encompassing a broad range of areas including the integration of employment dimension in macroeconomic and sectoral policies for generation of more and better jobs, policies and programmes on the transition from informal to formal employment, measurement and analysis of labour market information; development of information systems on employment and human resources; services of labour mediation and its coordination with vocational training services and local productive development; human resources research and the need for human resources training; design of employment­-intensive public investment programmes; advise on public employment services, employment-related International Labour Standards, employment policies and programmes for poverty reduction strategies and labour market and wage policies, employment policies and the relation with wages policies, working conditions in different circumstances including economic crisis and recovery policies and programmes to promote the labour market inclusion of vulnerable populations such as informal workers, women, youth, people with disabilities, indigenous people.
