The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihood initiatives, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress.

When you volunteer with GLF, you’ll work with other inspiring young leaders to promote a message that’s essential for our time – and for the next generation. Choose to volunteer in one of the following fields:

  • Rapporteuring
  • Logistic Support
  • Social Media

As a volunteer for GLF Accra 2019, you’ll receive:

  • Full instructions for the role you choose
  • The opportunity to connect with other volunteers from all over the world
  • Exclusive access to Volunteers’ Headquarters, where you can rest, talk and plan your activities
  • The chance to participate in volunteers-only activities
  • Free access to the entire conference

You’ll be expected to:

  • Be kind, patient and respectful towards your peers as well as the conference’s crew and audience
  • Understand your roles and responsibilities, and be on time for our meetings and practices
  • Put your skills to good use, and ask for help if you’re not sure what to do or how to do it
  • Be available when requested, and be prepared to respond to spontaneous actions and unforeseen needs
  • Be yourself, make new friends, connect, engage and enjoy as much as you can.
