Under the theme of Resilient future rangelands: integrating environment and livelihoods we are organizing the 2019 Australian Rangelands Conference, 2-5 September 2019, in Canberra https://www.ars2019.com.au/ . The conference programme will be guided by three overarching themes that are important to the conference’s focus on resilient future rangelands:
- Explore the big issues for rangeland management in times of changing markets, environments and societal expectations
- Identify opportunities for aligning policies to support the resilience of rangelands communities and environments
- Incorporate emerging technologies, new practices and innovative social arrangements in the rangelands
The 20th biennial Australian Rangeland Society (ARS2019) conference will be held in Canberra 2-5 September 2019 at the Kambri Convention Centre. The conference will bring together managers, researchers and policy makers to promote resilient rangeland environments and communities in times of change. A call to submit a short abstract to sharing your understanding in various ways at the conference is now open until 1st May 2019.
