The CBM at the Global Festival of Action for Sustainable Development 2018
The Capacity Building Marketplace (CBM) was one of the main highlights of the UNCCD’s stand at the just concluded Global Festival of Action for Sustainable Development held last week at the Bonn World Conference Center.
Here the CBM team shared with participants of the festival information of the great opportunities and possibilities offered on the Marketplace; invited the young visitors to become involved in the sustainable development process; and explained the importance of achieving Land Degradation Neutrality to the realization of the SDGs in general.

The CBM at the UNCC Climate Change Conference SB48
The Capacity Building Marketplace (CBM) presented the UNCCD Secretariat's exposition at the recently concluded Subsidiary Bodies Session 48 (SB48) of the United Nations Climate Change (UNCC) held at the World Conference Center in Bonn, Germany, from 30th of April to the 4th of May.
E-learning Course on the 2017-2018 UNCCD Reporting Process
This E-Learning Course on the UNCCD Reporting Process is designed to help participants to undertake the UNCCD Reporting Process. The course is based upon the manual that guides UNCCD in accordance to the new strategic framework (2018-2030), which has 5 Strategic Objectives and an implementation framework, which reporting entities must report against. This course simplifies the manual thus making it easier to use.

Welcome to the UNCCD Capacity Building Marketplace, where we have developed a collection of specialized material to support the 2017-2018 Reporting Process. You can now download the E-Course, which contains numerous tips and training videos.
The course is free of charge and available now. We strongly encourage all the Reporting Entities and genuinely interested individuals and organizations to make use of this tool, in order to increase their knowledge on the Reporting Process 2017-2018.

From those 20 short-listed photos, each voter can choose up to 5 favorite pictures! Every vote has the same value and is equal to one point.
World Day To Combat Desertification 2018 at St. George's International School, Cologne
The Capacity Building Marketplace (CBM) of the Secretariat of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) held a tremendous activity on 15th of June 2018 at St. Georges International School of Cologne, Germany in celebration of World Day to Combat Desertification (WDCD), which is actually commemorated on 17 June every year.

On Thursday the 11th of October 2018, the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) Secretariat, represented by its Capacity Building Marketplace (CBM), hosted once again, students from Bonn University, taking the Masters in Agriculture and Food Economics (AFECO).

On 11th of October 2018, students from Bonn University, pursuing the Masters in Agriculture and Economics, visited the UN in Bonn where they were the guests of The Secretariat United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). They also met with UNESCO - UNEVOC and the United Nations Volunteers.
A Panel Discussion was also held where students and panelists had the chance to discuss the importance of agriculture to the implementation of the UNCCD and Agenda 2030.
