An Amazing Event at the COP14
At the UNCCD COP14 recently held in Delhi India, the Capacity Building Marketplace (CBM) featured strongly through its side-event "Talking Capacity Building and You. A chance to share and to receive!" which took place on 6th of September. The CBM team of Jairo (Colombia), Ali (Pakistan), Jorge (Spain), Lilia (Russia), Loretta (Ghana), and Paul (France) had worked -under the guidance of CBM Manager, Dr. Richard A. Byron-Cox- for weeks organizing this major event.

Excellence Visits the Marketplace when Dr. Şenyaz comes calling
Dr. Ahmet Şenyaz, a forest engineer and an advisor to the Ministry of Forest and Water of the Republic of Turkey, recently called at the Marketplace where he met Head of the Team, Dr. Richard Byron-Cox. Dr. Şenyaz who holds a PhD in forest fire economics, was for eight years Chief of Turkey’s Research and Development Department of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. He now coordinates the activities of Turkey’s National Working Group on Combating Desertification and Land Degradation.
